We are excited to invite you to our 8th "Science & Society" webinar, featuring Prof. Antje Boetius. The webinar is titled:
"Loving What Is Not Known and Talking About It"
Prof. Dr Antje Boetius is a German polar and deep-sea researcher and director of the AlfredWegener-Institute, Helmholtz Center for Polar and Marine Research. She studies the impacts of climate change, biodiversity losses, ocean health. She is a member of the National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and other national and international academies.
For her research and engagement in public dialogue she has received several awards, including the Communicator Prize of the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the CarlFriedrich-Weizsäcker Medal of the Stifterverband. She collaborates with arts, theater, film and music with a focus on the relationship between humanity and nature.
