The Association of ERC Grantees is proud to announce the successful completion of its inaugural in-person event, held in collaboration with the esteemed Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Genoa.
Under the theme of "Recognizing Excellence in Research," renowned panelists and experts in the field of research policy came together.
The distinguished panel included:
• Prof. Maria Leptin, President of the ERC
• Prof. Martin Chalfie, Nobel laureate in Chemistry
• Dr. Jens-Peter Gaul, Secretary General of the German Rectors' Conference
• Prof. Toma Susi, representative of the CoARA Board and AERG Board member
The agenda included a captivating panel discussion and the fifth installment of the "Science & Society" Seminar, featuring Prof. Barbara Mazzolai, the Associate Director for Robotics and Head of the Unit "Bioinspired Soft Robotics” at the IIT. Prof. Mazzolai's lecture titled "The life of robots in natural ecosystems" provided unique insights into the intersection of robotics and natural environments.
The event was broadcast widely, allowing the discussions and insights to reach a diverse and engaged audience.
